It is a smorgasbord of ideas, and I truly think everyone in our industry could find a passive income idea from the ones I share in this video.
I believe that once you get a taste of what it feels like to make some money in your sleep, the wheels of your brain will start turning and you’ll start to see income opportunities all over the place.

Kate Builds In Public
🎢 I spent $40 in Facebook ads over 4 days ($10 per day) advertising my FREE once-per-month office hours for FreshBooks users. I had 7 people register. 2 people attended. Last month when I did this, I shared with y’all that there were ZERO people that attended. Upward!
Next month for my free April session, I’m going to start advertising 8 days out. My whole goal for this is to get more members of my paid office hours membership.
🎢 I finally sold an accountable template to a stranger who watched a YouTube tutorial, which was my goal with that video!
I have a video about Accountable Plans on my client-facing channel. I explain the concept and walk through the template. Then say they can get a copy from me if they don’t want to fiddle with rebuilding the template on their own.
I intitally priced it at $149 to start and every time someone reached out to buy it and I told them how much it cost, they didn’t buy it. So I would decrease it by $10 the next time someone inquired about it. This client who finally purchased got it for $69. I guess I’ve landed on a market price!
🎢 I got 1 new training client (at my 2 hour minimum for new clients) and THREE of my old training clients have come back for another hour. I think bookkeeper relationships are pretty sticky. Once I do a good job training them one time, are they really going to take the time to interview/investigate someone else?
I love the “get-in-and-get-out” aspect of screen share trainings, BUT, my current problem is wrapping up the call right at 1 hour. I really need to get better, because every additional minute reduces my effective hourly rate.
🎢 All 3 of my kids are less than 3 years apart, and we are in the heat of the elementary school years. In this 2 week time frame, I get to shepherd the following:
Family pizza lunch day
2 book reports (with visuals!) due this week
1 Ben Franklin costume
1 Moses costume (at least my kid didn’t get assigned The Burning Bush like one of his classmates did!)
Spirit week for all 3 kids, to include 80s Day, Career Day, “Decorate Your Own Mask Day” (are you kidding me???), and Sports Jersey day (this one is easy as they will all be forced to wear Baylor University shirts).
I’m momming so hard! So grateful that my business gives me the flexibility to handle drinking from this crafty fire hose!
